  • I am not contracted with any insurance plans, and am an out of network provider. Initial assessment appointments are $225 for 60 minutes, and ongoing individual therapy sessions are $200 for 50 minutes. I provide a superbill, which is a document you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Please contact your insurance provider directly to learn more about your out of network mental health benefits. You can also use the reimbursement calculator on my Rates and Fees page.

  • Wherever you’re located! I am fully remote, so as long as you are in NJ or FL, we can work together.

  • Yes! I have limited availability for in person sessions in St. Augustine, FL. I also offer virtual therapy sessions for your convenience.

  • The main difference between online therapy and traditional in person therapy is that we will be meeting on a secure video platform instead of meeting in person in an office. Prior to each session, you will receive a link to our secure video session. It’s important to have a private space with strong internet connection for our sessions. I do not conduct therapy sessions while you’re in a moving vehicle, but do understand that the car may be your only private space. Just please put it in park!

  • Specialty areas are smaller areas of focus that assist those seeking therapy in finding a therapist who will best understand what they’re struggling with. Aside from my specialty areas, I treat a full range of conditions including but not limited to anxiety, depression, OCD, and ADHD. I also have extensive experience working with people struggling with addiction related issues. If the information on this page resonates with you but you’re unsure if I can help, please reach out for a consultation. If I feel someone else might be better suited to assist you, I will provide you with referrals.

  • I work with clients age 16+, and provide individual therapy only. I would be happy to provide referrals to other therapists in my network if you are seeking couple’s therapy, family therapy, or therapy for a child under 16 years old.

  • You may feel nervous and jittery, and that’s okay! It’s tough to open up to someone new and talk about the tough stuff. The first appointment is a great opportunity for us to build off of things we briefly touched on during our consultation call. I might also ask about your family of origin, what things have been like for you throughout your life, and determine together how I can best assist you in accomplishing your goals for therapy. The first appointment is also a good opportunity for me to assess the severity of what you’re struggling with, and be sure that individual therapy is the best option for your treatment. If I determine you would benefit from more intensive mental health treatment, that is something that we will discuss. We will also review practice policies during the initial meeting. If you have any questions for me, this would be a great opportunity to ask those as well!

  • The length of therapy is different for everyone. I have worked with some people for a few sessions, and others for many years. The amount of time someone spends in therapy often depends on what they’re looking to accomplish. If you have a short term stressor you’re looking for help managing, you might be in therapy for about 3 months. If you’re interested in deeper relational work and find having a regular space to decompress and work through more deeply rooted issues, you may choose to stay in therapy long term. Ultimately, the length of your therapy is up to you.
